Privacy Policy
The short version: Most Tooliest tools run locally in your browser, while AI-assisted tools send the prompt you submit to the configured model provider so a response can be generated. Tooliest does not require accounts, does not expose provider API keys in the page, and does not keep a user content database for your tool inputs.
1. Who We Are
Tooliest ("we," "our," or "us") operates tooliest.com, a platform of free browser-based tools, AI-assisted workflows, software guides, and educational content for developers, designers, writers, marketers, and everyday users. You can reach us at [Email Protected].
2. Information We Do Not Store in a User Database
Tooliest does not require account creation, does not offer a personal dashboard, and does not maintain a personal content database for the everyday inputs you use on the site.
- For most standard browser-based tools, your text or file input is processed locally in the page itself and is not uploaded to Tooliest for storage.
- Passwords, hashes, encoded strings, calculator inputs, and similar browser-side values are not tied to a Tooliest account because no Tooliest account system exists.
- Tooliest does not sell your tool inputs or maintain a first-party content history for them.
Important exception for AI-assisted tools: when you use features such as summarizing, paraphrasing, email drafting, blog idea generation, meta description generation, or AI resume drafting, the text you intentionally submit is transmitted through Tooliest's secure proxy to the configured language-model provider so the response can be generated. Tooliest does not expose provider API keys in the browser and does not provide a built-in saved history for that content.
Tooliest also applies client-side daily quota controls and server-side abuse checks to AI-assisted requests so one browser session cannot consume unlimited model usage simply by refreshing the page.
3. Information We Collect Automatically
Like most websites, Tooliest may collect limited technical information automatically when you visit. This can include browser type, operating system, general device information, pages visited, timestamps, and coarse geographic information.
We use this limited data to operate the site, understand usage patterns in aggregate, improve the experience, and protect the service from abuse.
4. Cookies and Browser Storage
Tooliest uses a mix of browser storage and optional third-party technologies for settings, analytics, and advertising controls.
4a. Essential Browser Storage
Tooliest stores your consent choice and site preferences, such as theme selection, in your browser on this device. This storage helps the site remember your settings and does not require a Tooliest account.
4b. Analytics Cookies
If you allow non-essential tracking, Tooliest may use Google Analytics to understand visitor behavior in aggregate, such as which tools are popular or which pages need improvement. No personally identifying profile is intentionally created by Tooliest from this data.
You can opt out of Google Analytics by using browser controls, consent controls, or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4c. Advertising Cookies
Tooliest may use advertising services such as Google AdSense to support the free operation of the site. When advertising is shown, Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to measure ad performance, limit repetition, and personalize or contextualize ads depending on consent state and applicable law.
You can reject non-essential tracking through our consent banner. Essential browser storage for site settings can still be used even when advertising or analytics cookies are rejected.
For more information about how Google uses data, please visit Google's Privacy & Terms.
5. How We Use Information
- Operate and maintain the Tooliest website
- Understand how people use the site so we can improve it
- Display and measure advertisements that help support the free operation of the site
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or security threats
We do not sell your personal information for unrelated third-party marketing.
6. Third-Party Services
Tooliest may use or link to third-party services, each with its own privacy practices.
- Google AdSense — Advertising and ad measurement: Google Privacy Policy
- Google Analytics — Usage analytics: Google Privacy Policy
- Google Fonts — Typography delivery
- Configured AI model providers — AI-assisted text generation for prompts you intentionally submit through Tooliest's AI tools
7. Your Privacy Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights related to access, deletion, or objection to certain data uses. Because Tooliest keeps its first-party data collection limited, many privacy protections are implemented by design. You can also update consent choices through the site's cookie controls.
8. Children's Privacy
Tooliest is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Security
We take reasonable precautions to protect the Tooliest website and supporting infrastructure. Most Tooliest utilities process content locally in the browser, while AI-assisted tools route prompt text through a controlled proxy with origin checks, request validation, and abuse throttling before a selected model provider returns a response. Tooliest is designed to minimize retained user data rather than build a large account-based content store.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we update the last-updated date at the top of the page.
11. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or want to report a concern, contact us at [Email Protected] or through the contact page.
